Beijing, Dec 31 - A 39-year-old man in China's Shenzhen city Saturday died of bird flu, officials said.
The man named Chen, who worked as a bus driver, died of multiple organ failure at 1 p. m., Xinhua reported citing the health department of Guangdong province.
Chen was hospitalized for high fever Dec 21 and tested positive for the H5N1 avian influenza virus.
The health department said that prior to his fever, he had no direct contact with poultry and had not travelled out of the city.(IANS)
