My wife had been diagnosed with breast cancer non-invasive ductile carcinoma. She had a double mastectomy, cancer free acoording to her doctor. Will this affect her life expectancy?

It depends if the cancer comes back or not.

It depends on your point of view.
From an insurance company?s viewpoint, it does. Life expectancy is shortened.
From the surgeon who did the mastectomy, her survival rate is improved.
From a minister or priests?: Prayer would definitely prolong her life.
You can just take your choice.
Remember, nobody can predict the future.
